It appears there will be an Andrew Bynum citing after all.”I’ll definitely be back sometime this year,” Bynum said. ”I’m focused on getting back and being right versus trying to rush.”
”I want to be healthy,” he said. ”I think everybody knows what I can do at this point in this league. The question with me is going to be are my knees going to hold up. That’s what organizations have to think about. All I have to think about is putting up buckets.”
He is a free agent after this season, and teams will be less likely to make offers for his service if he hasn’t proved that he is healthy. Bynum has yet to play a minute of NBA ball this season, and the fans iin Philly have begun to wonder if he will play at all this season for them.
In the meantime the other player he was traded from the Lakers for …Dwight Howard seems to be someone the Atlanta Hawks would be interested in. Howard is from Atlanta and they are looking to move Josh Smith if the Lakers are not going to sign Howard then this might be the right time to move him or risk losing him and get nothing back in return.
This last one makes no sense and some sense at the same time. Iman Shumpert for JJ Reddick makes no sense for the Knicks. With injuries to Marcus Camby and Rasheed Wallace does it really make sense to trade one of your assets for a shooter when you are thin up front? Jared Dudley for Shumpert would make more sense but I would want more back in return for Shumpert. Not saying I want to move him, he is the lone youth on the Knicks especially in the backcourt with Kidd and company all carrying age. So trading Shump for Reddick no Shump for a big …maybe.
