All day long all you heard about is how much everyplayer lives for a game 7, that’s basically what ESPn had been running all day. Someone forgot to tell the Indiana Pacers that this was a game 7 and to bring it. The Heat apparently got the memo because they showed up and played like it was game 7 and played like they wanted to go to the NBA finals. The much maligned Chris Bosh played like someone that finally had a clue, Dwayne Wade went back to the dwayne Wade before LeBron came to Miami and LeBron of course would not be denied another trip to the Finals. Indiana stayed with the Heat for a quarter and a half then by half time it was a 15 point lead and in all honesty the rout was on. Paul George who tried to take on the task of beating Miami himself ended up fouling out early in the fourth quarter, missing 10 of 14 shots on his way to 13 points. Pacer center Roy Hibbert finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
Next for the Heat is a return date to the NBA finals. Waiting for them is the well coached, San Antonio Spurs. It is the Spurs who beat LeBron in his first NBA Finals (with Cleveland). So expect Lebron to be looking for payback. This is going to be a hard fought well balance d NBA finals with the two best TEAMS playing each other. The Spurs have had nine days of rest, so going into the finals stamina shouldn’t be an issue. The Heat coming off a 7 game series against the Pacers have momentum going for them…David Stern got his going away present the best player in the league vs the best team in the league …happy retirement commissioner.
