Winning the triple crown is a once in a lifetime everything breaks right type of thing. The fact that if you win it once, chances are you will never win it again in your career. It is what makes winning it special in the first place. Miguel Cabrera appears to be path to do the unthinkable: winning back to back triple crowns. Yes he is starting to make this look easy. He does lead the league in hitting with 365 average and does lead the league in RBI’s with 95 2 more than Baltimore’s Chris Davis with 93. He has 30 home runs but trails Chris Davis who has 37 home runs so Cabrera has some serious catching up to do if he is to be in a position to win the triple crown back to back.
So as baseball retunrs to action from it’s all star break, like every fan yopu begin to see if your favorite team can rebound form a rough first half of the season, or will a player continue on a MVP type of year.So the question coming out of the break is will Miguel Cabrera win back to back triple crowns? We will not know the answer to that question until much later in the season. Chances are he will make a good run toward it, it is something that has rarely been accomplished so there remains a strong possibly that he will fall alittle short. But check the box score have fun watching one of the best pure hitters in baseball make a march into unchattered waters of winning back to back triple crowns.
