Let’s not be too quick to Believe the 49ers are so Elite

Seattle Seahawks vs 49ers

The awaited NFC West showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers was completely one-sided.

29-3 was the final score.

Until furthe notice I don’t want to hear the 49ers say that they are better than their record. I don’t want to hear about how good they are, I don’t want to hear if the breaks went their way they would be undefeated, I don’t want to hear that Seattle was playing at home … Right now the proof is in the standings Seattle 2-0 49ers…1-1

29-3 Seattle in a rout.

If the 49ers are as good as they claim ..beat Seattle at their building, in your building on the moon for all we care but just beat them! That didn’t happen. So the sound you should hear is silence by the 49ers. And regrouped. The Seahawks exposed them and dominated them on both sides of the ball.

”Every game we feel like we should dominate, and we did,” Seattle safety Earl Thomas said.Marshawn
Lynch finished with 135 total yards, including 98 yards rushing, to make up for quarterback Russell Wilson hitting on just two of his first 10 throws and Seattle’s receivers struggling to get open. His TD run on the first drive of the second half gave the Seahawks a 12-0 lead. His TD catch pushed the advantage to 19-3 early in the fourth quarter.

”We are dedicated to running the ball and we are going to keep working until we really own it, and we don’t own the running right now like we can. We’ll get better at it,” Carroll said.

”We did what we expected to. I think you guys expected something different. I think you guys expected something a little more Kaepernick-y,” Sherman said. ”We didn’t expect any of that. We expect guys to play discipline ball.”

There is still alot of season left to play, but with this win the Seahawks will now be in the heads of the 49ers. December 8 will be the 49ers chance to get even playing at home against the SeaHawks but for now the edge goes to Seattle in a rout.

  1. Man, it felt like there were about fifty penalties in this game! Wilson made some plays, but overall poor quarterbacking on both sides–that and the hour-long weather delay put me to bed early. Hopefully there aren’t many more Sunday Night Snoozers this year
