Smallthoughts: Old School Tuesday …Pete Rose

Pete Rose

This is a repost from April 1 2014. In light of Pete Rose denied bid for reinstatement into baseball Smallthoughts: Old School Tuesday is reposting this entry and subsequent articles related to Pete Rose’s bid to return to Baseball.

Say what you want about the man outside of Baseball but Pete Rose was someone you couldn’t ignore. As a Met fan I hated him for his fight with Bud Harrelson in the 1973 playoffs. But Pete Rose was one that without a doubt you knew you were watching an all time great. My personal opinion simply as a player he should be in the Hall of Fame, as anything else no especially after he finally admitted he bet on Baseball. But here at Smallthoughts: Old School Tuesday we are going to give due to the hardest hardnose player …Pete Rose
Baseball’s all time hits leader needs to be in the Hall plain and simple. For today though …Smallthoughts:Old School Tuesday salutes …Pete Rose!
