So much for the Nets having the Heat’s number. Maybe they should get the number of the truck that ran over them because you can see the tire marks the Heat left on the Nets for miles. The Nets who swept the Heat during the regular season had to believe they could play with the Heat. They needed to play well in game one to at least get in the Heat’s heads. No such thing. The Pacers may have been the top seeded team in the East in the playoffs but it is the Heat’s tile to lose. If the rest of the series is going to look like game 1, the Nets off season moves will look like a failure. They believed the trade to bring Paul Pirece, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry to Brooklyn was done with the Heat in mind. After game one thought, that looks like a pipe dream.

I am a lifelong New York Mets, Knicks and Jets and Giants fan. I root hard for my teams and have rooted for them even when it wasn't and in some cases still isn't easy. I enjoy talking sports, and on here I get to write about it as well. I have my thoughts hence Small thoughts, we will not always agree, but respectfully speak about what we feel. I invite your comments and feedback as well. You can also follow me on twitter @bklynboy59 and facebook Jerry bklynboy Small
