Rants: Jason Kidd…this is not the first time Kidd has wormed his way of the Nets organization but this should be the last time. He violated an unwritten rule for coaches, never go for a job that already has a coach there…Larry Drew was the head coach while Kidd worked his power play on the Nets and moved to Milwaukee. Jason Kidd showed his true colors..again.This was about more money and more power. After Steve Kerr who never coached and Derek Fisher who also did the same exact thing Kidd just last season go from playing to retirement to coaching in a heart beat got better deals than Kidd who, coached now only one season started his exit strategy out of Brooklyn. At some point Kidd will get bored of life in Milwaukee want out and pull a power play to do so. Milwaukee consider yourself warned.
Rants: Jeremy Lin who feels disrespected by Rockets’ ‘Melo No. 7, as the Rockets try to recruit and sign Carmelo Anthony as a free agent. You mayfeel slighted Lin, but not disrespected, for the record Lin stands to make 15 million dollars…some way to be disrespected.
Rants: New York Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson…the team is 11 games under 500 and 10 games out of 1st place. 17-21 at home…unacceptable. They don’t hit with runners in scoring position and they leave their pitchers with no margain for error. Yet this is the team you claimed would win 90 games. This looks like they will lose 90 games. This is year 3 of your regime Sandy, this should have netted better results by now. This is a mess. Your mess. Fix it.
Raves: Brooklyn Nets for doing the right thing and telling Jason Kidd no for his quest of more power and more money. They wasted no time in sending Kidd to Milwaukee and getting draft picks back for him. They don’t want someone who doesn’t want to be there. Smart move. Kidd is Milwaukee’s problem now.
Raves:New York Mets Centerfielder Juan LaGares… despite the team’s poor showing he is one of the few bright spots both at the plate and in the field. He gets to balls that make you believe they are hits until …out of no where he is there …making it look easy. And to think they (the Mets) toyed with putting someone else in centerfield. His defense alone gets him a place in the lineup.
Raves: U. S. Soccer…judging on the viewership of the world cup it looks like Soccer may finally have a foothold in the U.S. It has been said for decades that Soccer would never sell big in the States. Football and Baseball are America’s game…Soccer is the World’s game but…finally it looks like the U.S. is finally ready to join the rest of the world in soccer.
