According to Yahoo sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski a deal is in place to send Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins (this years number on pick in the NBA draft) Anthony Bennett (Last years, number one pick in the NBA draft) and a protected 2015 first-round draft pick. The trade pairs Kevin Love with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving (The New big 3). Before you go ordering up that Championship ring for Cleveland let’s be fair. Yes they (the Cavs) have up graded the roster …yes they have more talent than in anytime in Lebron’s first go round in Cleveland, However, this is also a team that has missed the playoffs each of the past for years…so it is going to take time for Irving and the other young Cavs to learn how to win. This also includes Kevin Love. He has been in the league 7 years…zero playoff appearances. You can never tell how any player is going to react under the playoff spot light especially when they have never been exposed to it before.
For now though, on paper the Cavs look to be one of the top three teams in the Eastern Conference. Chicago, Indiana being the other two …however with Paul George missing the 2014-15 season that leaves the door open to young upstarts like Toronto and Washington. That is another subject for another time. For today, though, the Cavs, their fans and Lebron all got what they wanted… Love!
