If you’re a Giant fan and you had hope that the Giants would turn their season around yesterday against the hated Cowboys…then that hope was dashed when they gave up a 21-10 lead and lost 31-28. There are no more excuses for this. To be outscored 21-7 in the second half against their division rival after handling them well enough in the first half, is now inexcusable. It’s not about blaming Eli or blaming the coach Tom Coughlin or the General manager Jerry Reese. The blame for this season of bad inconsistent play and inconsistent wins vs loses goes to everyone. From the Front office to the coach to the players on the field. The offensive line doesn’t win the point of attack so on 4th and one or 3 and one you know it will be a 3 and. They don’t push defenses back to get the first down. It’s not about who is missing on the line it’s about who is now there to step up on the line. It’s called PRIDE. These Giants don’t have it. If you can’t take a 21-10 lead into the second half at home and walk out with a win…then you have no pride. If you can’t turn a out of your mind performance by Odell Beckham Jr. into a inspiring win the you have no pride. Seriously! When was the last time you saw the Giants play with no PRIDE. Yet yesterday it was clear the Cowboys pushed the Giants around at the point of attack and that was when the game was won and lost for both teams. Bill Parcells once said you are what your record says you are…the Giants are 3-8. They are just not that good period. It is not one person’s fault it is a team effort to be this bad plain and simple. If they were 8-3 and just beat the Cowboys the feeling would be …we are this good. So at 3-8 we stink. The season’s over turn the page and play for pride please. No more excuses no more we just not on the same page. At week three maybe but week 11 with 5 to play the cast is dyed this is a bad team that has holes to fill for next season. Wide receiver isn’t one of them. The good news is that the holes are fixable. A free agent signing smart drafting and less finger point is a start toward respectability. The offensive line and their linebacker corps need to be addressed. The linebackers which used to be a stable of the Giants isn’t up to the standards that have been set.Can that be corrected? Yes. Firing the coach trading Eli firing Jerry Reese isn’t going to make the Giants better, it is a panic move by people who do not understand football. There are some pieces. They need to play with consistancy. They play a half of football and then collapse in the second half and you don’t other teams know that? They stay close to the Giants and in the second half they will fold and we win. The Giants need a change of mindset going in to next season and it starts with players stepping up when called on ..both sides of the ball. No more excuse. Play with Pride.
