Rants: Carmelo Anthony…it is becoming obvious you think you made a mistake in resigning with the Knicks and has made a point to say how close you came to signing with the Bulls. It’s kind of like getting married to a woman but wish you could have married someone else who had your attention more than the woman you are with. Advice to Carmelo…forget about the Bulls concrete on making your teammates better. Your run in with Tim Hardaway Jr. serves no purpose it divides and no one can function when the star of the team rides a potentially young talented player like Hardaway.
Rants: New York Mets...Let me get this straight… you need a shortstop who can hit and field, you have the pitching teams crave yet …Jimmy Rollins was there for the taking and you don’t make a deal and then you say …it’s a limited market??? Come on Sandy you can’t come up short. You have to hit a homerun with the shortstop and you have to stop with we could go into the spring with Flores at short. That is not going to happen not if you want to step up in contender status.
Rants: Geno Smith ...you were benched this season for two games, you look lost out there you threw a pick 6 to start the game lastweek vs the Vikings and you really believe you have played like a pro bowler? Totally delusional.
Raves:.NJIT.…the feel good story of the young college basketball season upsetting the 17th ranked Michigan Wolverines made their year for sure.
Raves:Los Angeles Dodgers...they came to the winter meetings lookinig to trade one of their outfielders and they did just that, they traded Matt Kemp to the Padres, then made the deal to get both Howie Kendrick and Jimmy Rollins and was in the running to get Jon Lester. Busy times for the Dodgers and the feeling is they are not done yet.
Raves: Chicago Cubs...they made the biggest splash of the winter meetings signing Jon Lester. The Cubs are stepping up to contender status. Theo has turn the Cubs into contenders. Nice move.
