Rants: Alex Rodriquez… So finally after he has nothing to lose he decides to apologize to the Yankees for the drama he caused. Does he plan on giving back the money he received under false pretenses as well? Don’t forget he was being marketed by the Yankees as someone who was clean and stood to gain a lot breaking the homer run record clean…unlike Barry Bonds. But turns out he was more like Lance Armstrong …lie lie and lie some more and then sue everybody who dares speaks out against you and when that fails…then because you have nothing left…then say …I’m sorry. It’s alittle late for that now.
Rants:James Dolan… who could use a crash course or two in customer service etiquette did nothing to endear himself to Irving Bierman, who claims to have rooted for the Knicks since 1952, told Dolan he was “embarrassed” by the Knicks’ shortcomings since Dolan took over the team in the 1990s. He went on to mention several scandals within the organization during Dolan’s tenure and called some of Dolan’s moves “utterly stupid.” Dolan responded to Bierman by calling him “sad,” a possible alcoholic, someone who makes his family miserable, and told him to start rooting for the Nets “because the Knicks don’t want you.” Here is the email reply by Dolan.
You are a sad person. Why would anybody write such a hateful letter. I am.just guessing but ill bet your life is a mess and you are a hateful mess. What have you done that anyone would consider positive or nice. I am betting nothing. In fact ill bet you are negative force in everyone who comes in contact with you. You most likely have made your family miserable. Alcoholic maybe. I just celebrated my 21 year anniversary of sobriety. You should try it. Maybe it will help you become a person that folks would like to have around. In the mean while start rooting.for the Nets because the Knicks don’t want you.
Every Knick fan wants Dolan to sell the team and yet guess what knicks fans he isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Ugh!
Rants: Little League…A man named Chris Janes, who runs a league that lost a game 43-2 against JRW ( Jackie Robinson West), complained to Little League International that the team used players from outside its boundaries. Little League investigated, found that JRW redrew the boundaries without consulting nearby leagues and stripped it of the 2014 U.S. title. In a statement, Little League president Stephen Keener said: “As painful as this is, we feel it a necessary decision to maintain the integrity of the Little League program.” Ok so punish the kids who did nothing wrong and won fair and square on the field. Does that makes sense? Why not make the punishment fit the crime? How about punishing the ones who stacked the deck suspending the adults or fining them instead of taking the title away from the kids and giving it to the team they beat on the field for the championship?
Raves: Dean Smith …the master of the 4 corner offense and in turn because of the offense forced the NCAA into adopting the shot clock in it’s games passed away earlier this week at age 83. He won 879 games and earned the respect of his players past and present. To say College Basketball is a little poorer today with out isn’t fair, but know that he left behind quite a legacy that is played out nightly by those who played for him.
Raves: Jerry Tarkanian… Tark the shark passed away at age 84.He wasn’t dean Smith and he took chances on players Dean Smith wouldn not have, but he won everywhere he went and turned the UNLV program into one of the top programs of the country and the more he won the more scrutiny he would be under. Who could ever forget the beating they Rebels gave the Duke Blue Demons in the Championship game? It was men against boys.
Raves: San Diego Padres …talk about making a splash this winter they made big moves to improve their roster… Matt Kemp, Justin Upton and Wil Myers and now add James Shields to the list. It will be a interesting year in San Diego.
