Rants: Alex Rodriquez … A Rod apologized to the fans in a hand written note earlier this week for his lies and the drama he causes in recent years about his ..steroid use. The apology would have come off more sincere if he didn’t spend much of his time BLAMING Tony Bosch his supplier for giving him the steroids. So let me get this straight you are going to apologize for lying about what you did, but you are blaming someone else for what you did but you said I’m sorry for lying about what you did? Really ARod?
Rants: Cleveland Browns…is this a dysfunctional franchise or what? The GM is sending text from the press box to the team to run certain plays, their prized Quarterback is in rehab and their talented wide receiver is suspended for the up coming season for continued substance abuse. This is a franchise that has run amuck so much that one has to wonder when will they hit bottom before things get better.
Rants:Philadelphia76ers…They traded last year’s rookie of the year Michael Carter Williams. Yes the knock him is he can’t shoot, but he defends and isn’t a finished product, yet the Sixers gave up on him too soon. It’s like starting a building project and lay down the foundation and then just as you half way through with the building you decide the foundation isn’t strong enough and tear everything down and start from scratch at the foundation …again. So the Sixers now need to make the building a finish product it’s time to for them to arrive.
Raves: Tim Duncan…the Big Fundamental is now 16th on the all time NBA scoring list, having passed Alex English in the process. There is no slowing down Duncan’s game. He will go down as one of the best big men in the history of Basketball like Wilt, Bill Russell and Kareem.
Raves:Kentucky Wildcats …is anyone going to stop the runaway train known as the Kentucky Wildcats? 26-0 and counting…just saying
Raves:Atlanta Hawks…guess who owns the second best record in the NBA? The Atlanta Hawks at 43-11 just behind Golden State at 42-9. This is unchartered waters for this hawks group. The big question is can the Hawks not only maintain this pace but really perform well at playoff time when the pace slows and they play very good teams that play defense? We shall see.
