When a friend of mine texted me earlier about Derrick Rose being out for the rest of the season with torn medial meniscus, my first thought was oh no not again. How much more can Rose take? He had already missed basically 2 1/2 years of time due to injuries of his knee. This isn’t just another player, this is 2011-12 MVP Derrick Rose. Wow . This is a big hit for the Bulls. What does this do for Rose’s career going forward? He did play well at times this season, it might not have been his MVP best but let’s be honest , if you or I had to come back from serious knee injury like that, we wouldn’t be quite the same player either. Rose has had his moments this season where he looked like the MVP of 2011, and then he looked like the player trying to find his legs. Now you have to begin to wonder if he will ever be even what he was this season. The one thing that does work in his favor in spite of this set back is he is still young (26) and can rebound from this yet again. The question does remain is what player will he be should he decide to return from this latest injury?
