Rants: Tom Brady…got what he deserved and just like he wanted the air taken out of the football, Goodell took some air out of his playing time (4Games) which I am sure it will get reduced to 2 games before all is said and done. The Patriots got hit with the loss of two draft picks so you have to wonder was it really worth it?
Rants: New York Mets…the good start has given way to the struggles of the past…great pitching , not enough hitting. Duda is back to bad habits of taking too many when he should see the ball, hit the ball. Ok Sandy gotta make a bigtime trade for a bat.
Rants: Roger Goodell… Ok I get that he gets to hand out the punishment to the Patriots and Tom Brady but if a report is true he gets to hear Brady’s appeal too? Now it’s starting to sound like a stacked deck. And I’m not a Patriots fans but something is not right here.
Raves: New York Rangers… any series with the Rangers doesn’t start getting good until they are down 3 games to 1. In fact the NHL should tell the Rangers at the start of the Tampa Bay series ” You’re down 3 games to 1″ and then watch the Rangers comeback from a 3 -1 series disadvantage and win the series. Last years they were down 3-1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins the won the next 3 games. This years the did the same against the Washington Capitals in fact the Capitals were a minute away from sending the Rangers home and then the Rangers won game 5 …then game 6…then game 7( which they never lose at home) I am not a Hockey fan but… they sure make it compelling to watch.
Raves: Houston Astros…Hey I thought these guys were supposed to stink? So guess who has a 4.5 game league in the American League West? Yeah the Astros wow. Can they hold up over a long season? we will find out but in the meantime they are interesting to watch.
Raves:Atlanta Hawks center Al Holford… The Hawks center swooped in to snatch an offensive rebound and dropped in a shot from right under the basket with 1.9 seconds remaining, giving top-seeded Atlanta an 82-81 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night and a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
”I wasn’t supposed to be involved in the play at all,” Horford said. ”When I saw the ball go up, I just ran in there.” This is a series that beats watching if Wall is healthy it can be a lot of fun if the Wizards get to the next round.
