He had the big broad smile, he was drafted second in the NFL draft in 2012 and many thought he had a bright future along with Andrew Luck who was drafted first, one pick ahead of him in the draft by the Colts. I thought of both Luck and RG3 as the Larry Bird and Magic Johnson of the NFL at that moment. Both came into the NFL with huge expectations and both were expected to lead their teams to prominence once again. Turns out only half of that is correct, Luck has been everything the Colts and the NFL could have imagine …RG3…well not so much. It’s as much to do with his not being able to stay healthy to changes in head coaches and unstable rest in Washington than it is as to whether or not he is any good. But the head coach in Washington Jay Gruden has decided to pull the plug on RG3 and start Kirk Cousins. Headshaker I know. Explain to me what has Cousins done to start over RG3? Don’t forget the most popular guy on the football team is…the backup quarterback …until he becomes the starter. Now there are reports out of Washington that the players applaud the decision which means they don’t have faith in RG3. So soon? He is only 25 not 35 his career is far from over. Rest assured when the Redskins decide to move on from RG3, it doesn’t mean his career is over, his time in Washington maybe done he isn’t done …not at 25. So let’s see what team and what kind of situation he lands in to continue his career, hopefully it will be one that allow him to use his skills and one that will push him to flourish. Let’s see how this plays out further.
RG3 Era is over in Washington …But he is Far from Done

Did you read where Gruden or the Redskins organization are looking to trade RGIII? If so, what does Washington do if Cousins get hurt?
I did but the problem is the Redskins would be better off cutting him cap wise. Sadly the redskins haven’t been known to be progressive thinkers when it comes what to do in case Cousins gets hurt. RG3 is the scapegoat for their troubles what is really wrong with the Redskins has nothing to do with RG3 but more to do with the headcoach and the owner.
