You have to say this about the Cleveland Brown they may be bad , but even they don’t want to be embarrassed like that. They have given Johnny Manziel every chance to succeed in Cleveland, yet every chance he gets he reminds them that he isn’t ready for the big stage and bright lights of the pros. his partying and lack of professionalism has pushed the Browns to the point that at 2-8 and already looking to make Manziel the starter the rest of the season, instead now name Josh Mc Gown the starter and benched Johnny Football to 3rd string. Ouch. Question is it really worth all the partying? To the Browns it wasn’t especially to the coach Mike Pettine.
“I’m especially disappointed in his actions and behavior because he has been working very hard,” Pettine said. “The improvements from last year to this year have been tremendous but he still has to consistently demonstrate that he has gained a good understanding of what it takes to be successful at the quarterback position on this level. It goes well beyond the field. We are going to continue to support him in every way possible, but at this point, we’ve decided it’s best to go with Josh as the starter going forward.”
You have to wonder if Manziel is even going to be in Cleveland next season, or even in the league where they give out second chances, just think of Jerry Jones and Greg Hardy. And don’t forget Jones wanted Manziel bad real bad …wonder if Jones is saying to himself wow can you imagine if he was with us now?
One thing for sure is that Manziel has some serious growing to do and to address his drinking, his career is at the crossroads already and it is getting late early for the kid known as Johnny Football.
Third string ? Please . two strings and a ball of wax would now be preferable than having Johnny Manziel on an NFL team’s roster !
Tim Tebow is interested in possibly seeking a congressional seat or possibly a seat in the Florida Legislature ? LOL,LOL,LOL !!! My God, it’s times like this I have to wonder if things could get any worse, then I realize it is already screwed up with Ted Cruz, Donald Trump , John Kasich , Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are making things so laughable .
Heath Shuler spent time in Congress . Can anyone actually remember his doing anything of note while there , much less during his NFL career ? LOL,LOL LOL !!!
Wow Heath Schuler …haven’t heard that name in forever
You’re not the only one . His (Shuler’s) career with the Redskins was about as memorable as paint drying in the sun .
Lol yeah good point
The Redskins are still going to suck this season and they won the NFC East last year, by default. Real easy to do , when the division sucks and has been so overrated for years.
Ok.
In all honesty , do you believe it to be bad coaching or just not enough depth of talent , which might well create the perception the division (NFC East) is so bad ?
In the cases of Washington and Dallas bad coaching bad spending on players with questionable past like Greg Hardy in Philly’s case bad decisions by Chip Kelly doomed the franchise and set it back. In the Giants case, bad drafts by Jerry Reece bad coaching at times by Coughlin and lack of depth due to injuries doomed the Giants which again falls at the feet of Reece.
Chip Kelly on his best day couldn’t coach a team to find their way out of a wet paper bag and now he’s expected to turn things around with the 49ers ?
Bad decision making appears to be part and parcel of the NFL and we have seen it being done repeatedly when it comes to the NFL Draft and many of the trades we have witnessed over the past three seasons . Head coaches are now being held accountable, but the general managers in some cases , are allowed to go untouched.
So basically you agreed with my answer
Of course I agree ! The NFL has become a league, where the coaching has become average at best , with few , truly talented players.
Last season’s Superbowl was a tremendous letdown .
The 2015 NFL divisional standings tells you a great deal about how pitiful the league just happens to be .
The league for all long time wanted and finally wanted parity now they have to live with the fact a 7-9 team can win the division and make the playoffs and possibly even make a run at the super bowl…scary
