Baseball season is a week old and we already have a story a feel good story…Trevor Story.
The 23 year old is writing quite a story for himself in his short time in the big leagues. He is the only player in the modern era (since 1900) to hit a home run in each of his first three games in the big leagues, all in Arizona. He is the first player to hit two home runs in his major league debut in a season opener.
Don’t forget he is replacing former Rockie shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, he has a long way to go to replacing him but so far he is off to a good start. Can he keep it going, let’s wait and see how pitchers adjust to him after facing him the first and see what adjustments are made on both sides. But in the mean time enjoy this feel good story…Trevor Story this week’s Rave of the Week.
Welcome to Smallthoughtsinasportsworld. We keep it fun and we keep interesting and informative. On Tuesdays we go back in time with Old School Tuesdays, on Thursdays we keep it fun by Smallthoughts Trivia Thursday and on Fridays ...it is Smallthoughts: Rant of the Week and Smallthoughts:Rave of the Week and we also post the answer from Smallthoughts:Trivia Thursday.
I am a lifelong New York Mets, Knicks and Jets and Giants fan. I root hard for my teams and have rooted for them even when it wasn't and in some cases still isn't easy. I enjoy talking sports, and on here I get to write about it as well. I have my thoughts hence Small thoughts, we will not always agree, but respectfully speak about what we feel. I invite your comments and feedback as well. You can also follow me on twitter @bklynboy59 and facebook Jerry bklynboy Small
