Cleveland Finally Wins a Championship

It’s Party Time in Cleveland. The City of Cleveland finally can claim a championship of their very own. Lebron James made good on his promise on his return to Cleveland to bring a championship to the city. It was not easy and it was not pretty. The Cavaliers were down 3 games to 1 to the Golden State Warriors. All Golden State had to do was win one game to win back to back championships and none of this would have happened. Instead Lebron and the Cavaliers made history and will be remembered as a tale of hope and never giving up ….hey Cleveland was down 3 games to 1 and look at what they did. So now the City of Cleveland will be known for more than the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, now it will be known as the home of the NBA Champions…the Cleveland Cavaliers. Congratulations!

I am a lifelong New York Mets, Knicks and Jets and Giants fan. I root hard for my teams and have rooted for them even when it wasn't and in some cases still isn't easy. I enjoy talking sports, and on here I get to write about it as well. I have my thoughts hence Small thoughts, we will not always agree, but respectfully speak about what we feel. 1. I don’t know how history will look back on this championship . One where the referees’ influence played a part more than they should have or the very fact the Warriors simply chocked away this series by losing four straight games ? What I do know is the fact , one of the winners from this all , Dan Gilbert and his partners in the ownership of the Cavaliers , as they have seen the franchise’s value increase by over 60% in the last three seasons, to the point where they are worth over $1.1 billion dollars . Yet the real winners are … can we have drum role please for the answer …….. the NBA .

    1. I had this series going to GS in 7 games …well I got the 7 games but not the way I thought. I think you make a great point was Cleveland really better or did GS choke away a championship? I think history is going to look at it the same way the Yankees choked away their series against the Redsox up 3 to 1 and nearly had them down to their last strike and just …choked ! The Warriors were up 7 at halftime at home …no excuses should have won
