Normally we kill athletes for putting themselves before the team but in this case …whether he feels otherwise in private at least in public …Tony Romo is taking the high road and said that Dak Prescott has “earned the right” to take his job as starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.
That’s a classy move. No matter what you think of Romo as a quarterback at least in this case he praised the young quarterback and said all the right things so as not to be a malcontent to the team. How things will play out remains to be seen but you get the feeling that if needed …Romo will be ready to play. Maybe thought as brittle as he is maybe they should have a back up for the back up…you know …just in case.
