In news that will not keep Lebron James up at night, Gordon Hayward agreed to sign a deal to play for the Boston Celtics. The deal is $128 million over four years. The fact that he chose the Celtics eventually wasn’t the problem, the problem is that he took so long to get there and then either he or his people leaked out that he was going to Boston before he told his now former team the Utah Jazz that he was taking Boston’s offer. Then he back tracked fearing negative backlash that made him look wishy washy coming across that he was torn. Look Hayward is a good player he is going to a good team and he will help make them better. He is going to possibly the second best team in the East as it stands right now as opposed to staying in Utah knowing he wouldn’t get out of the first round out west. It was a no brainer decision that he made more difficult. When the news first broke that he was rethinking his decision all I thought is come on man make up you mind, pick a team any team. Owner gets rid of the GM , David Griffin , architect of the championship winning team, because he (Gilbert) simply clashed with the executive. Well is it true is it not ? Dan Gilbert is a character , that when things are going well , he’s happy. But the moment things take a turn for the worse , he tends not to look at the decisions he’s made and expect everyone else to follow and apportion blame elsewhere. I mean whose fault is it that the franchise has become unprofitable ? I don’t sugar coat it at all ! The East will simply remain as pathetic as ever and it’s not about to change anytime soon .
