Smallthoughts: Rant of the Week …Gordon Hayward
In news that will not keep Lebron James up at night, Gordon Hayward agreed to sign a deal to play for the Boston Celtics. The deal is $128 million over four years. The fact that he chose the Celtics eventually wasn’t the problem, the problem is that he took so long to get there and then either he or his people leaked out that he was going to Boston before he told his now former team the Utah Jazz that he was taking Boston’s offer. Then he back tracked fearing negative backlash that made him look wishy washy coming across that he was torn. Look Hayward is a good player he is going to a good team and he will help make them better. He is going to possibly the second best team in the East as it stands right now as opposed to staying in Utah knowing he wouldn’t get out of the first round out west. It was a no brainer decision that he made more difficult. When the news first broke that he was rethinking his decision all I thought is come on man make up you mind, pick a team any team. Finally …he did!

News likely to keep LBJ up at night , he’s finding out that Dan Gilbert is an imbecile . Owner gets rid of the GM , David Griffin , architect of the championship winning team, because he (Gilbert) simply clashed with the executive. One year more in Cleveland and James will be elsewhere and completely rid himself of the insanity within the franchise. Having lost over $70 million over the last season and still burning money because of the salary cap, >n> it’s beginning to show how out of whack with reality the Cleveland Cavaliers have become . d now likely to
As usual you took one line and blew it up into a post all by itself …incredible Al
Well is it true is it not ? Dan Gilbert is a character , that when things are going well , he’s happy. But the moment things take a turn for the worse , he tends not to look at the decisions he’s made and expect everyone else to follow and apportion blame elsewhere. I mean whose fault is it that the franchise has become unprofitable ? I don’t sugar coat it at all ! The East will simply remain as pathetic as ever and it’s not about to change anytime soon .
Let’s stay on the subject shall we which was about Gordon Heyward not LeBron not Dan Gilbert.
Hayward’s choice was the best option for him by far !!!!
