Ok where do we begin for our rant of the week? A year ago Gettleman passed up an opportunity to draft a quarterback a franchise quarterback to replace Eli Manning choosing to draft Saquan Barkley. He used the second pick in the draft for a running back that you hope will be around in 5 years since the normal span for running backs are 3.5 years so you are hoping that Barkley will be your Emmitt Smith. After the Giants bottomed out again this pass season Gettleman send Olivier Vernon and Landon Collins packing only receiving center Kevin Zeitler in return for Vernon, letting Collins go for nothing getting nothing in return and then … the big trade …Odell Beckham Jr to the Cleveland Browns for a 1 and 3 and Jabrill Peppers. A year ago after signing Beckham to a mega deal contract (5yrs 90 Million)Gettleman stated “We didn’t sign Odell to trade him, OK? I know that’s all over the place. So understand that. That’s all I need to say about that.”
Now that’s not to say Beckham didn’t cause his own demise because he did, openly questioning why he signed on with the Giants when he wanted to be somewhere else and quitting on the last 4 games of the season, I totally get the Giants were just done with his act. By the way exactly did they win with OBJ in the first place? That’s what I thought …NOTHING!
That said Does Gettleman have a plan? What is his plan ? I keep going back to DeAngelo Williams who stated on Twitter “I tried to tell u @Giants fans Dave was your problem but u laughed and called me bitter! Well welcome to the salt wagon jump on and let’s ride together lol”
Again does Gettleman have a plan to replace Eli ? if so what is it ? Tell your fan base they have a right to know.
How do you plan to rebuild this team tell your fan base they have a right to know.
