Back in the 90’s the catch phrase was “I wanna be like Mike ” well it must be nice to be Mike …Mike Trot that is …430 million reasons to be like Mike. The numbers are staggering and numbing. Just when you thought the numbers were high enough between Bryce Harper and Manny Machado, Trout blows them completely out of the water. Best player in the game gets the best salary( 36 million per year) what a novel concept! Yet I can’t but wonder is there limit is there a point where the owners go broke spending like they do? That is another subject for another day. $430 million 12 years 36 million per year…staggering!
