What a week it has bee for the boys in Flushing, Queens. They come home on Monday after getting their clocks cleaned by the Miami Marlins (Awful) in a 3 game sweep, 5 games under 500 which sparked rumors of manager Mickey Callaway’s demise. General Manager Brodie Van Wagenen called a press conference to basically give a vote of confidence to Callaway and took responsibility for the moves that were placing the team in the mess that it was in. That was Monday. Today…the Mets completed a 4 game sweep of the Washington Nationals, the Mets are 1 game under 500 and they are only 4.5 games behind the first place Phillies. What started out as doom and gloom early in the week, has now given way to hope that at least at this point they hav some fight in them , haven’t given up and at least for now quieted talk of replacing Mickey Callaway as manager. Next the Amazin’s face the woefully awful Detroit Tigers. The Mets are on a roll keep it going…Let’s Go Mets!
