About Bklynboy59

I am a lifelong New York Mets, Knicks, Jets and Giants fan. I root hard for my teams and have rooted for them even when it wasn’t and in some cases still isn’t easy. I enjoy talking sports, and on here I get to write about it as well. I have my thoughts hence Small thoughts, we will not always agree, but respectfully speak about what we feel. I invite your comments and feedback as well. You can also follow me on Twitter @bklynboy59 and Facebook, Jerry bklynboy Small

Jerry, I liked your sports site and your writing! Especially your rant and raves. Would you be interested in writing for another sports blog over at intheneutralzone.com? We are getting over 100,000 hits per month and growing so it would be a good way to gain more exposure for your blog as well. Let us know at intheneutralzone@yahoo.com

  5. Jerry…nicely done! I have visited your page in several occasions. Obviously our site’s focus is baseball and you are putting together some very good assessments in that area. Pleasure to reblog some of your posts and drive some traffic back at you. Respectfully – Vic at baseballtrashtalkin.org. Take care.

Hello,Iโ€™m Brian and I have a sports blog network at 365sportsreport.com. Our NFL Draft blog, NFL Draft Lounge, is putting together a live twitter mock draft featuring 32 individuals controlling each team and drafting for them. This will be starting next weekend and would like to extend an invitation to you to control a team. Please visit nfldraftlounge.com/mock-draft-registration if youโ€™re interested.

  7. I really enjoy reading your blog. Iโ€™m a writer for a blog called Sideline Smack. Our goal is for our authors to have certain opinions on the articles they write. Since the majority of our writers are from the New York City Metropolitan area, just like yours, we write from a Yankee/Knicks/Jets perspective. It would be great if you could read and follow our blog at sidelinesmack.wordpress.com.

  8. Oh dear. I suppose you don’t like the Patriots then?

oh thank you …if you don;t understand something that you read don’t hestitate to ask.

      • I’ll do that, thanks! I like that you discuss more in-depth topics, you go further than just the Ray Rice fiasco or the top plays of the week — for instance, you did an entry on Leigh Castergine. Even though I don’t follow the games too closely, I’m interested in those news stories so I appreciate you covering them.

Thank you so much for that comment. I do a weekly called Smallthoughts: Rants and Raves in which a do 3 rants and 3 raves in sports. I like to go beyond the surface when it comes to sports.

    • bklynboy59 says:

Thank you for following my blog. I have two features that I put out weekly …on Tuesdays Smallthoughts: Old School Tuesday which is my way of saluting sports heroes from the past and not so distance past and on Fridays in Smallthoughts: Rants and Raves which I give 3 rants or 3 things that are wrong or negative of that week in sports and then I give 3 raves or 3 good things that happen that same week. So welcome and I hope you enjoy reading my blog and all comments and questions are welcomed.
