Congratulations 2013 World Series Champion Boston RedSox!!!

APTOPIX World Series Cardinals Red Sox Baseball

Last year at this time this team was mess they fired one manager and started looking for another. The roster was in need of new parts. They play in the same division as the Yankees, Rays, Orioles and Blue Jays…no day at the beach to be sure. Yet eventually it all came together as the Boston RedSox stand on top of the baseball world as the champs.
Two years after the beer-and-chicken collapse, one year after a 69-win season that left Red Sox Nation despondent, Boston retooled its roster and rode series MVP David Ortiz to a convincing victory in a back-and-forth battle between the best teams from the American and National Leagues.

The Sox got a strong effort in John Lackey who despite wanting to get one more batter in the 7th and lost that battle pitched like a champ this after his first season back form Tommy John surgery. In the seventh, with runners on first and third after Carlos Beltran singled home Daniel Descalso, Red Sox manager John Farrell emerged from the dugout for a mound visit. “This is my guy!” Lackey yelled as Farrell approached, covering his mouth with his glove to avoid breaking any FCC laws and spawning hundreds of amusing animated GIFs. Farrell allayed his concerns by letting him pitch to Matt Holliday, who drew a walk to load the bases. Junichi Tazawa relieved Lackey, retired Allen Craig on a hard-hit ball to first base, and the Red Sox escaped trouble and began preparing for their celebration

I enjoy talking sports, and on here I get to write about it as well. I have my thoughts hence Small thoughts, we will not always agree, but respectfully speak about what we feel.
