According to published reports DeSean Jackson has agreed to join the Washington Redskins. Reportedly it is a 3 year deal but no terms have been released as of yet. Jackson often clashed with head coach Chip Kelly and despite his performance on the field …it didn’t stop the Eagles from relasing the talented wide receiver. Jackson is a play maker and the Redskins are getting just that, and allegedly more.Washington may have obtained a playmaker, but Jackson comes with baggage.
A story on NJ.com claimed Jackson had gang connections, an allegation the receiver denied. There were several pictures that seemingly connected Jackson to the Crips. Former NFL general manager Mark Dominik said any NFL team interested in signing the controversial receiver would have to conduct an extensive background check, which included gathering information from the FBI.
It appears Washington is satisfied with its investigation.
So now with Jackson in Washington, and staying in the same division as the Eagles, Jackson will be playinig against the Eagles twice a year, expect his calendar to be marked on those dates.
